Job Summary

The Grant Program Manager plays a crucial role in supporting faculty involved in interdisciplinary research initiatives. This position is responsible for managing both pre-award and post-award activities related to grant funding. The Grant Program Manager will act as the primary liaison for faculty across various disciplines, ensuring effective collaboration and compliance with grant submission processes and research requirements.

Key Responsibilities
  • Act as a resource for faculty and staff in the preparation, development, review, and submission of grant proposals and applications. Oversee the entire grant process from inception to completion, ensuring communication with relevant offices and compliance with institutional policies.
  • Assist faculty in understanding award terms and conditions, maintaining adherence to financial best practices, and ensuring compliance with sponsor requirements and regulations.
  • Analyze financial data to prepare reports for forecasting and budgeting purposes. Maintain accurate documentation related to financial transactions and grant management.
  • Support recruitment efforts for faculty positions within the research initiative, ensuring accurate processing of related administrative tasks.
  • Coordinate meetings and events for faculty involved in the research initiative, fostering collaboration and communication among team members.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned to support the overall mission of the organization.


Qualifications

Applicants should possess a Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution, along with a minimum of five years of relevant experience in grant management or a related field. Alternatively, a Master's degree combined with three years of relevant experience is acceptable. Experience in grant writing and securing funding is essential.

Preferred Skills

Experience with NIH grant applications is highly desirable. Candidates should demonstrate strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently while managing multiple priorities effectively.
