Nurse Manager Job Summary

Administrative accountability for leading, managing, developing, supervising, and evaluating all Research Nurses, Study Coordinators, personnel and supportive research staff in the Division of Infectious Diseases. Manages and collaborates relationships with leadership members, physicians and research staff in the conduction of clinical research. Ensures professional, clinical, and educational excellence in the provision of quality clinical research. Responsible for the hiring, supervising, training and evaluation of supportive research staff. Collaborates with Infectious Diseases Grants Manager and designees to develop and maintain a balanced budget.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and manage a team of Research Nurses, Study Coordinators, and supportive research staff.
  • Collaborate with leadership members, physicians, and research staff to conduct clinical research.
  • Ensure professional, clinical, and educational excellence in the provision of quality clinical research.
  • Responsible for hiring, supervising, training, and evaluating supportive research staff.
  • Collaborate with Infectious Diseases Grants Manager to develop and maintain a balanced budget.
Requirements
  • Graduation from an accredited college or university with a Bachelor's degree in Nursing.
  • Georgia Registered Nursing License.
  • Three years related clinical and/or management experience.
  • OR Associates degree from an accredited college or university with six years related clinical and/or management experience: Georgia Registered Nursing License. BLS certification required.
