Job Summary

The Grant Program Manager plays a crucial role in supporting faculty within the Transdisciplinary Research Initiative focused on Inflammaging and Brain Aging. This position is essential for managing both Pre and Post Award activities related to grant funding. The Grant Program Manager will act as the primary liaison for faculty across various disciplines, facilitating collaboration, grant submissions, and all research-related requirements.

Key Responsibilities
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
  • Serve as a resource for faculty and staff in the preparation, development, review, and submission of grant proposals and contracts. Oversee the grant process from inception to completion, ensuring effective communication with all relevant offices.
  • Assist faculty in understanding award terms and maintaining compliance with sponsor requirements, university policies, and applicable laws. Monitor proposal statuses and provide guidance on research protection protocols.
  • Analyze financial data to prepare reports for forecasting and budgeting. Maintain documentation related to expenditures and budget revisions, ensuring accurate financial management.
  • Support faculty recruitment efforts and manage startup funds, including procurement of supplies and equipment. Track metrics related to submissions and awards from federal sponsors.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned to support the overall mission of the organization.


Qualifications

**Required:** Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution with a minimum of five years of relevant experience in healthcare management and budget oversight, along with grant writing experience; **OR** a Master's degree with a minimum of three years of relevant experience and grant writing expertise.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience with NIH grant applications is highly desirable.

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities

Strong ability to maintain confidentiality and work independently. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with a detail-oriented approach to multitasking and problem-solving. Proficiency in relevant software and databases is essential.
