Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Patient Service Contact Center Representative to join our team at Central Maine Medical Center. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional patient care and ensuring seamless communication between patients, hospital departments, and external partners.

Key Responsibilities
  • Coordinate patient scheduling for hospital-based departments and provider services
  • Secure and complete pre-registration activities, including demographic and insurance information
  • Verify insurance information and coverage, and initiate medical necessity checks as required
  • Communicate with patients via phone, hospital departments, and external partners to ensure accurate and timely scheduling
  • Provide exceptional customer service and resolve any issues or concerns in a timely and professional manner
Requirements
  • High school graduate or equivalent
  • Minimum 1-2 years of relevant experience in scheduling, pre-registration, or financial clearance
  • Knowledge of medical terminology and insurance reimbursement basics
  • Strong customer focus, verbal communication skills, and ability to multitask and prioritize work assignments
