Key Responsibilities- Pre-Registration and Registration: Verify patient demographic data, obtain signatures on required forms, and ensure accurate and complete patient accounts.
- Customer Service: Engage patients with exceptional customer service practices, utilizing the Five Must Haves: greet people with a smile, take people where they are going, use key words at key times, foster an attitude of gratitude, and round with reason and purpose.
- Appointment Scheduling: Utilize centralized scheduling systems and software applications to schedule appointments, verify and update patient demographic information, and transfer to registration for updates.
- Cash Management: Collect and post payments, balance accounts, and complete daily reconciliation of cash and charges.
- Communication: Communicate with patients and staff using advanced communication tools, including phone call handling, emails, faxes, and online chats.
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Experience: Minimum of one year of work experience in directly communicating and providing service to patients or public required; preferably in a healthcare-related field.
- Skills: Demonstrated proficiency with data entry/keyboarding, medical terminology, and customer service skills.
