Property Management Coordinator

At LHH Recruitment Solutions, we are currently partnering with a reputable Property Management company in the Washington, DC area to fill an exciting role for an Assistant Property Manager.

The hourly pay for this position is estimated between $23-$27 per hour, with a potential annual salary of $50,000-$65,000 once converted to a permanent employee. While prior property management experience is not required, the ideal candidate will have a genuine passion for the industry, strong customer service skills, and a proactive approach to problem-solving.

This is a long-term contract role with the possibility to convert to a permanent position. The selected candidate will be assigned to one location and may assist additional properties as needed. The position requires full-time onsite work, 5 days a week, with occasional weekend hours that are flexible based on schedule and season.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist in the day-to-day operations of assigned properties, ensuring seamless tenant relations and timely maintenance.
  • Coordinate maintenance and repairs with vendors and maintenance staff, guaranteeing quality standards and timely completion.
  • Conduct regular property inspections to identify maintenance issues, safety hazards, and opportunities for improvement.
  • Support leasing activities, including showing vacant units to prospective tenants, processing applications, and executing lease agreements.
  • Prepare and maintain accurate records of property expenses, rent payments, and other financial transactions.
  • Collaborate with the property management team to develop strategies for maximizing property value and occupancy rates.
Qualifications:
  • A strong background in property management or a related field is preferred.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to interact professionally with tenants, vendors, and team members.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and property management software.
  • Detailed knowledge of fair housing laws, lease agreements, and property regulations.
