Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Executive Chef to join our team at Medix. As a key member of our culinary team, you will be responsible for overseeing all food preparation and kitchen operations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Menu Planning and Execution: Develop and implement menus that meet the dietary needs of our clients, while ensuring high-quality food preparation and presentation.
  • Staff Management: Supervise and train a team of cooks and kitchen staff to ensure efficient and effective kitchen operations.
  • Inventory Management: Manage kitchen inventory, including ordering and receiving supplies, to ensure that we have the necessary ingredients and equipment to meet our culinary needs.
  • Quality Control: Ensure that all food prepared in our kitchen meets the highest standards of quality, safety, and sanitation.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Maintain compliance with all relevant food safety and sanitation regulations, including obtaining and maintaining necessary certifications.
Requirements
  • Experience: 2+ years of experience as a Head Chef or Kitchen Manager in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
  • Skills: Proven ability to manage a team, develop and implement menus, and maintain high-quality food preparation and presentation.
  • Certifications: NYS Food Protection Certification.
