Front Desk Coordinator

Job Summary
This position provides exceptional patient services by managing the front desk and handling various clerical duties. The ideal candidate will be responsible for greeting patients, answering phone calls, and creating appointments.
Key Responsibilities
- Greet patients and visitors, answer questions, and provide directions as needed.
- Answer phone calls, create appointments, and direct calls to the appropriate personnel.
- Inform healthcare staff about impending appointments and maintain accurate records.
- Manage patient documents, reports, and other confidential information.
- Process insurance forms, create invoices, and manage vendor information.
- Assist with insurance verification and referrals.
- Perform other administrative tasks as needed.
Additional Responsibilities
- Participate in performance improvement initiatives.
- Attend mandatory education sessions and meetings.
Customer Service
- Maintain high levels of customer service through courtesy, compassion, and positive communication.
- Promote the mission and vision of Hill Country Wound Care Vascular and Hyperbarics within the work environment and community.
- Respect patient dignity and confidentiality by adhering to all applicable policies and procedures.
Health and Safety
- Work in a manner that promotes safety and wear appropriate clothing.
- Participate in OSHA required training and follow universal precautions.
- Report unsafe practices to management and know your role in case of an emergency.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Minimal experience in customer service and clerical work preferred.
- Strong communication and computer skills required.
- Fluency in Spanish (reading and writing) preferred.
