Position Overview:

The Senior Vice President of Security Operations & Technology at Sony Pictures Entertainment (SPE) is tasked with providing visionary leadership and strategic oversight for the organization's on-lot Security Operations and global Security Technology teams. This pivotal role operates with a significant level of independence and authority.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver strategic guidance and support to the Director of Security Operations.
  • Oversee comprehensive lot security operations, which encompass investigations, guard force management, town patrol, threat assessment, executive protection, event security, security administration, and Anti-Piracy initiatives.
  • Act as a vital member of the SPE Incident Management Team (IMT).
  • Serve as a liaison with law enforcement agencies as necessary.
  • Ensure seamless collaboration with the Security Technology Group (STG) and the SPE 24/7 Global Security Operations Center (GSOC).
  • Lead the Security Technology Group in the global endeavor of deploying enterprise-wide physical security and safety technology solutions.
  • Manage technology functions including CCTV, Access Control, Intrusion Alarms, Automated External Defibrillators (AEDs), and systems that support SPE's mission-critical GSOC.
  • Encourage collaboration and integration between S3 & Facilities systems, emphasizing Robotic Process Automation (RPA) to streamline routine tasks.
  • Implement data metric reporting to enhance decision-making, operational efficiency, and cost-effectiveness.
  • Ensure compliance with Global Sony Corporate Policies, SPE Policies, international jurisdictional authorities, and relevant standards such as GDPR, GISS, MPA, TPN, and NFPA.
  • Collaborate with SPE stakeholders including IT, Privacy, Facilities, Legal, and Investigations to ensure alignment on STG projects.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 10 years of management experience within the entertainment sector.
  • At least 5 years of experience in managing security operations and guard forces.
  • A high school diploma is preferred.

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Expertise in Crisis Management and Incident Command Structures.
  • Familiarity with industry trends, products, and services.
  • Understanding of security risk management principles.
  • General knowledge of construction practices.
