Role Responsibilities:

We are looking for a seasoned Vice President of Divisional Finance to oversee our financial operations in Southern California. This leadership position entails:

  • Developing and managing the division's quarterly and annual financial forecasts with an emphasis on accuracy and transparency.
  • Analyzing monthly financial reports, sales, production, and cost metrics to assess profitability and identify improvement opportunities.
  • Focusing on investment strategies and daily operations to optimize ROI, margins, and overhead costs.
  • Ensuring robust internal controls and compliance with accounting procedures.
  • Collaborating with various departments to evaluate financial outcomes and variances from planned budgets.
  • Providing analytical insights to senior leadership to enhance operational efficiency and uncover cost-saving opportunities.
  • Assisting in pricing strategies in partnership with Acquisitions and Sales teams.
  • Working with Purchasing to manage direct costs and monitor commodity pricing.
  • Supporting the Corporate Accounting team in preparing financial statements and ensuring compliance with regulations.
  • Partnering with Corporate Finance to refine business tools and streamline financial reporting processes.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance; MBA preferred.
  • CPA designation is preferred.
  • A minimum of 7 years of relevant experience in the homebuilding sector.
  • Proven success in a financial role within a homebuilding or construction company.

Preferred Attributes:

  • In-depth knowledge of homebuilding and the financial drivers that influence business performance.
  • Strong analytical skills for financial modeling and data synthesis.
  • Solid accounting foundation to support comprehensive financial analysis.
  • Ability to present data in a clear and compelling manner.
