About the Role

The People Services HR Consultant serves as a vital member of our Human Resources team, acting as the primary resource for our workforce. This role is essential in delivering comprehensive HR services and professional support to both employees and management.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide expert consultation on HR inquiries, guiding customers through various options and facilitating effective resolutions.
  • Utilize sound judgment to determine the most appropriate methods for resolving issues.
  • Offer guidance on workforce management, payroll, performance evaluations, employee relations, and total rewards programs.
  • Assist employees and managers with HR processes and policy inquiries, ensuring clarity and understanding.
  • Manage HR inquiries through multiple channels, including case management systems and direct communication.
  • Deliver policy and process advice, collaborating with customers to explore solutions and coach them through the resolution process.
  • Maintain a thorough understanding of employment legislation relevant to the region, providing informed advice on its application.
  • Direct employees and managers to appropriate resources, including toolkits and training materials, as necessary.
  • Facilitate the triage of inquiries to ensure comprehensive understanding and engage specialized HR teams when needed.
  • Contribute to the enhancement of HR resources based on feedback from case resolutions.
  • Ensure high-quality customer service that aligns with business performance objectives.
  • Support HR Business Partners and the broader HR function with operational tasks.
  • Participate in cross-functional HR projects to drive improvements and efficiencies.
  • Document inquiries, resolutions, and root causes to identify trends and propose enhancements to HR services.
  • Collaborate with various teams to achieve service level goals and improve overall HR effectiveness.
  • Engage with third-party vendors as required to resolve inquiries.
  • Participate in training and development opportunities to enhance skills and knowledge.
  • Execute region-specific tasks, including translation support as needed.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or a related field is preferred.
  • A minimum of 2 years of operational HR experience at a generalist level.
  • Solid understanding of HR policies, processes, and regional employment laws.
  • Experience in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
  • Practical knowledge of HR processes, including hiring, payroll, and employee relations.
  • Ability to exercise sound judgment in identifying solutions to meet business needs.
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, for presenting complex information clearly.
  • A commitment to continuous improvement and operational excellence.
  • Proficiency in HR systems and processes, with a strong computer literacy.
  • Fluency in Spanish or French is required.
