Job Overview

Under the direct guidance of the Environmental Services Supervisor, the Environmental Services Associate is tasked with maintaining the cleanliness of all public areas within the establishment, both indoors and outdoors. Key responsibilities encompass vacuuming, mopping, window cleaning, restroom sanitation, waste disposal, office tidying, back-of-house area upkeep, exterior cleaning of gaming machines, restocking supply shelves, and performing additional duties as assigned.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain cleanliness in rooms, hallways, lobbies, lounges, restrooms, corridors, elevators, stairways, locker areas, and employee break rooms.
  • Sweep, scrub, and vacuum various floor surfaces.
  • Clean carpets, upholstered furniture, and draperies.
  • Dust and polish metalwork, fixtures, furniture, and equipment across all surfaces.
  • Empty waste receptacles and clean ashtrays.
  • Transport waste to designated disposal areas.
  • Restock restroom supplies based on anticipated needs and schedules.
  • Assist patrons with soap and paper towel provisions during busy periods when necessary.
  • Address spills with appropriate cleaning materials and protective gear.
  • Disinfect lavatories, floors, and fixtures after each use.
  • Move small equipment or tools between departments as directed by the supervisor.
  • Report any complaints regarding property misuse to management.
  • Communicate job-related issues factually and appropriately.
  • Clean windows and doors as needed.
  • Deliver friendly, prompt, and helpful service to all guests and team members.
  • Perform all tasks in accordance with departmental standards and as directed by leadership.
  • Conduct more detailed cleaning as required or assigned.
  • Rearrange and clean furniture as necessary.
  • Handle any biohazardous materials as they arise.

Regulatory Compliance Responsibilities:

In addition to the duties outlined above, each team member has the following compliance responsibilities:

  • Participate in mandatory training sessions provided by the company.
  • Obtain and maintain necessary licenses.
  • Perform duties in accordance with local laws and regulations.
  • Ensure minors are not permitted to gamble or loiter in gambling areas, consume alcoholic beverages, or purchase tobacco.
  • Understand the ordinances, regulations, laws, policies, and procedures relevant to the department.
  • Be aware of the property’s programs addressing problem gaming.
  • Report any known acts of wrongdoing.

Qualifications:

  • Must be at least eighteen (18) years of age.
  • Six months of prior work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Ability to lift, push, and pull up to 50 pounds.

The work environment noise level is typically moderate to loud, and the employee will circulate throughout assigned areas, including observing players and the functionality of machines.
