Job Overview

The Revenue Compliance Specialist is responsible for accurately computing, classifying, recording, and verifying numerical data to maintain precise accounting records. This role plays a crucial part in ensuring adherence to regulatory standards in Revenue Audit and reporting any potential discrepancies to management.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Generate daily analysis reports concerning the Player's Club.
  • Conduct daily reconciliations of jackpot slips between the HRM accounting system and the casino cage utilizing Microsoft Excel.
  • Examine various audit reports from the accounting system for each gaming day.
  • Accurately compile, process, and organize documents that substantiate business transactions in a timely manner.
  • Compare revenue reports from the slot accounting system against those from the state's accounting system.
  • Prepare and distribute the daily Meter Win Report to senior management via Microsoft Outlook.
  • Perform daily reconciliations of all ticket-in ticket-out slips from the casino cage.
  • Conduct daily audits of casino cage count sheets to verify the accuracy of cash movements.
  • Maintain documentation of employee signatures.
  • Audit the Cash Storage Box Report and Cash Win Report on a daily basis.
  • Review paperwork for front desk agents, food & beverage cashiers, valet cashiers, and VIP Service cashiers daily.
  • Prepare daily reports for Food & Beverage to monitor business performance.
  • Organize and file documents in designated locations.
  • Ensure compliance with key control procedures.
  • Oversee the inventory, issuance, auditing, and retention of coupons and documents utilized in HRM operations, hotel operations, and food & beverage services.
  • Collaborate and respond to audits conducted by external agencies.
  • Assist employees, vendors, clients, or customers by addressing inquiries related to accounts, procedures, and services.
  • Communicate effectively with colleagues, supervisors, and guests.
  • Adhere to all relevant policies and procedures.
  • Consistently follow the Company Service Standards model.
  • Be available to work various hours, including holidays and weekends as necessary.
  • Complete other duties as assigned.

Regulatory and Compliance Duties:

In addition to the responsibilities outlined above, each team member is expected to comply with laws and regulations.

  • Participate in mandatory training sessions provided by the company.
  • Obtain and maintain necessary licenses.
  • Perform duties in accordance with local laws and regulations.
  • Take necessary measures to ensure minors are not permitted to gamble or loiter in gambling areas, consume alcoholic beverages, or purchase tobacco.
  • Possess knowledge of the ordinances, regulations, laws, policies, and procedures relevant to the department.
  • Be aware of the Property's programs addressing problem gaming.
  • Report any observed misconduct or wrongdoing.

Qualifications:

  • Must be at least eighteen (18) years of age.
  • High school diploma is required.
  • Proficiency in the entire Microsoft Office Suite is essential.

Certificates, Licenses, and Registrations:

Virginia Racing Commission License and a valid driver's license with a minimum of three (3) years of driving experience.

The work environment noise level is typically moderate to loud, and the employee will circulate throughout assigned areas, including observing players and the functioning of machines.
