We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Support Staff Member to join our team at Indian Rivers Behavioral Health. As an Administrative Assistant/Direct Care Staff Floater, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional care and support to our clients.
Key Responsibilities- Transportation Services: Provide safe and reliable transportation for clients as needed.
- Front-Desk Registration: Perform client front-desk registration process as assigned by supervisor.
- Shift Coverage: Work assigned shifts, weekends, holidays, and overnight as scheduled.
- Client Observation: Perform observation of clients as directed by your supervisor.
- Client Education: Assist in client education of symptoms and illness management as directed by supervisor.
- Disruptive Behavior Management: Gain certification in the management of disruptive behaviors and de-escalation techniques.
- Meal Support: Assist as needed in providing meals to clients.
- Cleaning and Maintenance: Assist as needed in general cleaning at the Crisis Center.
- Documentation: Document all clinical notes in accordance with agency policies and within 24 hours.
- Training and Development: Conduct client trainings as assigned by supervisor.
- Communication and Awareness: Maintain communication and awareness of current events by reading memos, e-mails, bulletin boards, and communication logs.
- Teamwork and Independence: Work independently and/or with teams to complete assigned tasks accurately and in a timely manner with minimum supervision.
- Code of Conduct and Compliance: Support Organizational Code of Conduct, Standards Compliance, HIPAA and Security Programs by ensuring job tasks are performed in a legal and ethical manner.
- Confidentiality: Maintain the confidential nature of all client and Organization related activities.
- Attendance and Punctuality: Adhere to attendance and punctuality policy.
- Safety and Health: Comply with all standards related to safety and health.
- Quality Improvement: Identify opportunities for improving the quality of services provided by the department and the organization.
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
- Experience: Experience working with clients with mental illness and/or developmental disabilities preferred.
- Background: One (1) year experience in a mental health setting preferred.
- Driver's License: Current driver's license and good driving record.
- Communication Skills: Must be able to read, write legibly, speak, and comprehend English.
This position requires the ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with a high level of attention to detail and strong communication skills.
The ideal candidate will be able to work effectively in a group situation, possess excellent verbal and written communication skills, and be able to lift up to 50 pounds.
