We are looking for a skilled and empathetic individual to provide high-quality care and support to our consumers. As a Direct Care Staff, you will be responsible for ensuring the physical and emotional well-being of our clients, promoting their independence, and enhancing their quality of life.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide personal care and support to consumers, including bathing, dressing, and ambulation.
  • Assist with daily living activities, such as meal preparation and household chores.
  • Transport consumers to appointments and outings, using personal vehicle as needed.
  • Document consumer progress and maintain accurate records.
  • Participate in training and development programs to enhance skills and knowledge.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive care and support.
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Experience working with consumers with mental illness and/or developmental disabilities preferred.
  • Current Alabama driver's license and good driving record required.
  • Ability to read, write legibly, speak, and comprehend English.
Working Conditions:

Works in residential facilities; may require long hours. Must have the use of sensory skills to effectively communicate and interact with other employees, consumers, and the public. Physical capability to effectively use and operate various items of office-related equipment. Must be able to lift fifty (50) pounds and negotiate several sets of stairs in an eight (8) hour shift.
