Position Summary:

We are looking for a driven sales engineer to join our dynamic outside sales team in the North Austin area. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in promoting HVAC equipment selections on engineered plans and building enduring relationships with design engineers and key stakeholders.

The Sales Engineer will be tasked with delivering professional technical presentations, identifying new customer opportunities, and enhancing product demand by ensuring specifications are met in engineering plans. Collaboration with the commercial sales team will be essential to pinpoint and engage key market players, while also maintaining accurate sales reports and forecasts.


Key Responsibilities:
- Foster and maintain strong relationships with engineers and clients to ensure product specifications are met.
- Build connections with both new and existing engineering professionals.
- Communicate effectively with inside sales, service, and support teams to optimize account management.
- Collaborate with the Sales Manager to develop a strategic territory plan.
- Engage with manufacturers to address engineer and customer requirements.
- Perform additional duties as necessary.

Supervisory Role:
This position does not involve supervisory responsibilities.

Qualifications and Skills:

- Demonstrated ability to provide exceptional service while maintaining a positive company image.
- Strong interpersonal and customer service capabilities.
- Proficient in relationship-building and strategic sales techniques.
- Solid understanding of HVAC systems and technical specifications.
- Ability to interpret customer requirements and communicate effectively with the commercial sales team.
- Skilled in identifying market trends and implementing competitive strategies.
- Proficient in delivering presentations to diverse audiences.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel and PowerPoint.
- A degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field focused on thermofluids is preferred.
- HVAC knowledge is advantageous but not mandatory.
- A valid Texas Driver's License is required, with the ability to travel as needed.

Technical Proficiency:
- High-level proficiency in computer applications, especially MS Office, with a focus on Excel and PowerPoint.
