San Diego, California, United States ResMed Full time
About the Team and You:

The Customer Supply Planning Team is dedicated to overseeing the alignment of consensus demand across various departments, including Finance, Product, and Sales. This team excels in managing Supply and Demand KPIs that communicate forecast accuracy, inventory levels, and alignment with financial objectives. Success in this role hinges on effective collaboration with business leaders, the ability to challenge assumptions, and understanding the drivers behind changes. You will serve as a crucial link between front-end functions (Product and Sales & Marketing) and back-end functions (Supply Chain, Operations, and Finance). The Demand Planning team adds value by ensuring a balanced consensus demand plan that appropriately weighs risks and opportunities to facilitate a profitable production plan.

Position Overview

As a Regional Supply Chain Coordinator focusing on Sales & Operations Execution (S&OE), you will be the key connector between demand forecasting, product supply planning, and inventory oversight. Your role is vital in ensuring the smooth movement of products through the supply chain to satisfy customer needs while optimizing inventory levels and production capabilities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Sales & Operations Execution (S&OE): Lead and implement the S&OE process, converting demand forecasts into actionable production strategies, ensuring alignment with sales goals, production capacities, and inventory limitations.
  • Demand Forecasting & Analysis: Participate in Market Demand reviews and gain a deep understanding of our products, customers, and strategic initiatives.
  • Product Supply Planning: Collaborate with product supply planning to create feasible production schedules that meet customer delivery expectations while optimizing resource use and minimizing changeovers.
  • Inventory Management: Partner with the Demand Planning team to establish inventory strategies such as safety stock, replenishment policies, and optimization models to ensure product availability while reducing carrying costs. Ensure inventory levels and flow are optimized according to business goals.
  • Order Fulfillment & Customer Service: Plan fulfillment processes to ensure efficiency, monitor order fulfillment performance metrics such as on-time delivery, fill rates, and order accuracy. Proactively resolve any issues or bottlenecks in the order fulfillment process to guarantee a seamless customer experience.
  • Supply Chain Risk Management: Identify potential supply chain risks, such as raw material shortages, transportation delays, or production limitations, and develop contingency plans to mitigate their impact on operations. Monitor external factors like geopolitical events, weather disruptions, and market fluctuations that may affect supply chain stability.
  • Performance Analysis & Continuous Improvement: Track key performance indicators (KPIs) related to S&OE processes, inventory management, and production efficiency. Conduct root cause analysis to identify improvement opportunities and implement corrective actions to enhance operational excellence.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams including sales, marketing, procurement, distribution, and production to align on short-term supply plans and address any emerging issues or constraints. Participate in cross-functional projects as the regional supply subject matter expert, serving as a liaison between departments to ensure effective communication and coordination.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, operations research, logistics, or a related field. Advanced degree or certification (e.g., APICS CPIM) is advantageous.
  • 3-5+ years of experience in supply chain planning, preferably in a manufacturing or distribution context.
  • Proficiency in supply chain planning software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, o9) and advanced Excel skills for data analysis and modeling.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with the capacity to interpret complex data and make informed decisions.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across diverse teams.
  • Detail-oriented with a commitment to accuracy and quality in all work aspects.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple priorities effectively.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze complex data and drive data-informed decisions.
