Job Title: Materials Supervisor

Job Summary:

The Materials Supervisor is a key member of the Eugenus, Inc. team, responsible for coordinating the purchasing and planning functions related to products and materials. This role requires a strong understanding of supply chain management and the ability to build and maintain relationships with suppliers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Purchasing and Planning:
    • Coordinate the planning and scheduling functions for products and materials.
    • Perform evaluations and qualifications of suppliers.
    • Procure raw materials, parts, and services in a timely and cost-effective manner.
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to forecast demand and plan production.
  • Supplier Relationship Management:
    • Build and maintain relationships with suppliers to ensure optimal performance.
    • Develop and implement business strategies to optimize supplier performance.
    • Conduct pricing negotiations to secure favorable terms and costs.
    • Perform reviews, control, audits, and quality assessments to ensure compliance with company standards.
  • Forecast Analysis and Operational Planning:
    • Analyze forecasts and convert them into a feasible operational plan of the Master Production Schedule.
    • Run Material Requirements Planning (MRP) and create Purchase Requisitions (PR) and Purchase Orders (PO) in a timely manner.
    • Resolve shortages by analyzing reports, inventory levels, and supplier delivery dates.
    • Ensure execution of plans to meet customer delivery and satisfaction.
  • Cross-Functional Coordination:
    • Understand the organization's business needs and actively pursue and help meet organizational goals.
    • Provide planning metrics such as forecast accuracy, on-time delivery, and production attainment.
    • Collaborate with Operations, Quality, and Procurement teams on supplier scorecards.
    • Schedule planning meetings with cross-functional teams to align strategies and objectives.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in supply chain or related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in procurement and planning.
  • Experience in NPI project management is a plus.
  • Proficiency in computer programs such as Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
  • Working knowledge of SAP.
  • Ability to travel to suppliers as needed.
