We are looking for an Application Software Engineer to become a vital part of our worldwide Development Operations team, dedicated to supporting our engineering and technical divisions in creating innovative tools globally.

This role involves collaborating with a custom software application utilized by Dematic's engineers to enhance the design process of our automation systems.

The application empowers our engineers to integrate various components within our comprehensive automation solutions, enabling them to simulate and produce 3D/2D representations of the overall system's appearance and functionality.

Developed using advanced gaming technology, this tool prioritizes user experience, and your contributions will focus on further advancing the software for engineering purposes.

You will take charge of the software development for the Dematic extension integrated within the Configura CET Designer application. This extension, along with the foundational software, is utilized internally to design and deliver material handling systems tailored to our clients' needs.

As part of a global development team, you will ensure high-quality outcomes and provide effective solutions for end users.

This policy encompasses all employment terms and conditions, including recruitment, hiring, placement, promotion, termination, layoff, recall, transfer, leaves of absence, compensation, and training. The estimated base salary for this position is $53,000. Final compensation will be influenced by various factors such as work location, education, experience, knowledge, and skills.

Responsibilities and Qualifications:
Your Role Will Include:
Proficiency in object-oriented programming languages with flexible syntax. A collaborative spirit to work closely with fellow developers to understand new features, dependencies, and technical specifics. Self-motivated with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, complemented by good interpersonal abilities. A team-oriented individual with meticulous attention to detail, capable of researching solutions, and eager to learn. A sense of ownership and pride in producing impactful and high-quality code.

Desired Skills:
Experience with 3D design software or 3D game development is a plus. Familiarity with CET Designer or CET Developer is preferred. Proficient in Visual Studio, C++, or C# is essential for this role. Experience in a Scrum/Kanban environment using Jira/Confluence is advantageous. Knowledge of SQL for data retrieval and manipulation is beneficial. Experience in producing, maintaining, and publishing catalogs is desirable. Understanding of streamlined workflows for commits, branches, merge requests, and Jira issues is a plus. Familiarity with Agile development methodologies. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Good technical aptitude and ability to quickly learn new applications. Strong problem-solving capabilities; self-starter; detail-oriented. A strong desire to learn and grow in the position. Excellent analytical skills and a comprehensive understanding of planning, analysis, and testing techniques required to support Windows-based and web-based applications.
