The Human Resources Specialist will play a pivotal role in managing recruitment, onboarding, and fostering employee engagement and retention.

Key Responsibilities

New Hire Orientation:

  • Facilitate orientation sessions for new hires across all locations.
  • Provide comprehensive training on HR policies and procedures.
  • Outline available benefits options for new employees.

Benefits Administration:

  • Oversee enrollment in benefits and 401k retirement plans.
  • Ensure compliance with ACA enrollment requirements.
  • Manage COBRA enrollment processes.

Payroll Management:

  • Handle payroll-related changes, including garnishments and terminations.
  • Maintain accurate records in the HRIS system.

Employee Engagement and Retention:

  • Implement and manage a Progressive Discipline program.
  • Conduct exit interviews and analyze retention and turnover trends.
  • Evaluate HR projects to ensure alignment with organizational goals.
  • Collaborate with HR associates and department managers.
  • Possess a broad understanding of HR practices and employment laws.
  • Develop innovative strategies to enhance workforce engagement.
  • Undertake special projects and additional duties as required.

Compliance Management:

  • Maintain employee personal files and ensure compliance with credentialing requirements.
  • Serve as the point of contact for FMLA, workers' compensation, and unemployment inquiries.
  • Advise management on employee relations and disciplinary actions.

System Maintenance:

  • Keep HRIS staffing information current.
  • Manage communication tools and training platforms.
Qualifications

Minimum Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Human Resource Management, Business Administration, or a related field, or equivalent experience in a high-volume recruitment environment.
  • Experience with HRIS systems, preferably Paylocity.
  • Strong networking and relationship-building skills.
  • Knowledge of state and federal employment regulations.
  • Excellent communication skills and attention to detail.
  • Proven analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to follow through on assignments effectively.
