Position Overview:

The Autism Support Specialist / Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) at Verbal Beginnings is dedicated to providing exceptional Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) therapy to children diagnosed with autism.

We offer comprehensive training for individuals eager to learn about ABA therapy and are passionate about supporting children in their development.

Schedule and Compensation:

Typical Schedule:
Sessions generally take place 3-5 days a week for 2-3 hours, primarily during after-school hours between 3pm-8pm.
Location: Services are delivered in the child's natural settings, including home, community, and school environments.

Compensation:
Starting at $29.00 per hour, commensurate with experience and certifications.

Key Responsibilities:

As an Autism Support Specialist (BT)/Registered Behavior Technician (RBT), your daily activities will include:

- Working under the direct supervision of a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) to implement tailored treatment plans addressing communication, behavior, feeding, activities of daily living (ADLs), and social skills.
- Collecting and documenting data to track the effectiveness of treatment plans and collaborating with the clinical supervisor to make necessary adjustments.

Qualifications:

To excel in this role, candidates should possess:

- Patience, empathy, and a genuine desire to assist children with autism in reaching their objectives.
- A strong interest in learning about Autism and Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) Therapy.
- The ability to work autonomously while also collaborating effectively with others.
- A High School Diploma is required; a Bachelor's Degree (completed or in progress) is preferred.
- Experience working with children is advantageous.
- A valid driver's license, auto insurance, and reliable transportation are mandatory.
- Completion or proof of completion of the 40-Hour RBT course is required, with Verbal Beginnings offering this course to those who need it.
