Head of Global Compensation Risk Remediation and Governance

The Head of Global Compensation Risk Remediation and Governance is tasked with the oversight of global rewards risk, audit processes, and remediation obligations, alongside ensuring pay equity and gender pay reporting across all company regions. This position requires the establishment and upkeep of a comprehensive HR governance framework, as well as the execution of the Annual Individual Risk Review for designated employees. Effective collaboration with Control Functions, senior management across business and functional areas, governance bodies, HR departments, and Global and Executive Compensation is essential to guarantee adherence to regulatory standards. This role also involves leading a team dedicated to global compensation risk remediation, governance, and pay equity initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Direct the risk remediation and governance team
  • Maintain a thorough understanding of global remuneration regulations
  • Prepare and present updates to key stakeholders and governance entities
  • Coordinate with the Conduct Office and Control Functions to identify regulated roles
  • Analyze and provide guidance on governance issues for global initiatives
  • Assess the effectiveness and competitiveness of current compensation programs
  • Implement governance processes in collaboration with relevant HR and Compensation Teams
  • Contribute to the development of policy and process guidelines across various compensation domains
  • Maintain and enhance the corporate philosophy and strategy concerning pay equity
  • Conduct analyses related to pay equity and the gender pay gap
  • Ensure compliance documentation aligns with global pay equity and gender pay requirements
  • Perform equal pay audits or compliance testing as necessary

Skills/Qualifications:

  • Over 10 years of experience in regulatory compensation or related financial services sectors
  • Extensive technical and business acumen in risk, remediation, governance, rewards, and pay equity
  • Exceptional communication, influencing, change management, and project management capabilities
  • Advanced problem-solving skills and meticulous attention to detail
  • Proficient in Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
  • Ability to recommend best practices and navigate differing perspectives
  • Experience in coaching, training, mentoring, and leading a team
