Position Overview:
As a Compliance and Regulatory Specialist at MAC Incorporated, you will play a crucial role in ensuring adherence to all food safety and regulatory standards. You will collaborate closely with the Director of Quality and Food Safety to develop, implement, and uphold comprehensive Food Safety Programs, including the Safe Quality Food (SQF) program.

Key Responsibilities:
1. Ensure compliance with all food safety regulations and standards.
2. Support the Director of Quality and Food Safety in the development and execution of Food Safety Programs.
3. Oversee the SQF program to maintain certification and prepare for annual audits.
4. Conduct annual reviews of the SQF Manual and associated documentation, ensuring all work instructions are validated and updated.
5. Manage the accuracy and integrity of all documentation produced from the compliance programs.

Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in food science or a related field, or a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in Quality Assurance.
- Familiarity with USDA, FDA, and state food safety guidelines is essential.
- Certification as an SQF Practitioner is required, along with experience in HACCP, SQF, and HARPC.
- Experience with Kosher, Organic, GFCO, and AIB/NSF programs is advantageous.
- Bilingual proficiency in Spanish and English is a plus.

Required Certifications:
- HARPC/PCQI Certification
- SQF Implementation and Auditing Certification
- SQF Internal Auditing Training

Essential Skills:
- Ability to manage multiple projects from inception to completion in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong organizational, communication, and analytical skills.
- Proficient in problem-solving and capable of working independently and collaboratively across teams.
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to adapt to changing priorities.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and capable of learning new software systems.

Core Duties:
- Assist the Director of Quality and Food Safety with all Quality Assurance activities as needed.
- Enforce company policies and procedures consistently.
- Collaborate on the implementation of SQF programs, including Food Safety and Quality Defense plans.
- Maintain compliance with Food Safety and SQF programs.
- Manage daily documentation and paperwork related to SQF.
- Conduct training sessions on food safety and quality for all staff members.
- Facilitate food safety and quality meetings, ensuring follow-up on action items.
- Serve as the primary contact for regulatory audits and inspections.
- Conduct internal audits and mock recalls to ensure compliance.
- Lead problem-solving initiatives related to food safety and quality issues.
