The Clinical Development BCBA will provide mentorship and training to clinicians across various levels, including Behavior Technicians (BT), Registered Behavior Technicians (RBT), mid-level supervisors, and Board Certified Behavior Analysts (BCBAs), emphasizing the use of Behavioral Skills Training (BST) and self-assessment techniques. Furthermore, this position involves the oversight of timely and precise clinical documentation.
Reporting Structure: This role reports to Executive Team Members.
Collaborative Peers: Mentoring BCBAs, Clinical Assurance Analyst, Director of Compliance.
Supervisory Responsibilities: BCBAs, Mid-Level Supervisors, RBTs, BTs.
Core Responsibilities:
- Mentorship and Professional Growth:
- Deliver mentoring and training tailored to clinicians across diverse clinical roles.
- Employ evidence-based methodologies such as BST and self-monitoring to enhance clinician competencies.
- Conduct individual and group professional development workshops aligned with current best practices in behavior analysis.
- Facilitate regular performance reviews for clinicians within your designated group.
- Ensure consistent clinical quality among clinicians through structured training and ongoing skill mastery.
- Coaching and Performance Enhancement:
- Provide coaching to clinicians to improve their performance as necessary.
- Implement Performance Improvement Plans (PIPs) to achieve defined objectives within established timelines.
- Clinical Documentation and Compliance Oversight:
- Supervise clinical documentation to guarantee adherence to organizational and funding source policies.
- Report Compliance Management:
- Ensure all reports meet deadlines, standards, and quality benchmarks.
- Caseload Oversight:
- Manage clinician caseloads to ensure they are balanced and meet operational requirements.
- Act promptly to address cancellations or underutilization of treatment standards.
- Client Engagement and Feedback:
- Maintain strong relationships with clients, ensuring their access to treatment and progress.
- Regularly solicit client feedback and address any concerns swiftly.
- Manage client issues and review feedback to ensure satisfaction.
- Oversee the distribution and analysis of client satisfaction surveys.
- Liaison Duties:
- Act as a liaison between the organization, funding sources, and administrative teams to foster positive relationships.
- Ensure adherence to policies across all clinical environments.
- Collaborate with clinical and scheduling teams to resolve escalated issues.
- Maintain clinic capacity through effective collaboration.
- Promptly escalate relevant issues to the Executive team as necessary.
- Regulatory Awareness:
- Stay updated on funding source changes and regulations affecting ABA services, disseminating information to the team.
- Additional Responsibilities:
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) certification.
- Extensive experience in ABA therapy and clinical supervision.
- Expertise in Behavioral Skills Training (BST) and self-monitoring strategies.
- Strong leadership, communication, and mentoring abilities.
- Capability to manage multiple tasks in a dynamic environment.
- Thorough understanding of compliance standards and relevant regulations.
