POSITION OVERVIEW AND REQUIREMENTS:

Penn State University is looking for Part-Time Front of House Event Staff to join our team at Eisenhower Auditorium. This role involves casual, part-time employment primarily during evenings and weekends, with some morning shifts available based on employee schedules and event requirements. Employees will have the opportunity to engage monthly with the Center for Performing Arts Student Advisory Council, fostering connections within the arts community and recommending artists for student-led events. There are also opportunities for advancement into leadership roles and potential salary increases.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Greet and guide patrons as they arrive.
  • Prepare lobby and conference areas for events.
  • Manage ticket scanning operations.
  • Oversee concessions areas.
  • Support volunteer ushers during events.
  • Ensure a safe, secure, and welcoming environment for all attendees.
Qualifications:
  • Successful candidates should possess or be eager to develop strong communication and customer service skills.
  • Employment with the University requires the successful completion of background checks in accordance with University policies.
  • Availability to work on weekends is essential.
