Job Overview

As a **Technology Advisory Lead** at FedTech, you will play a pivotal role in steering early-stage company advisory and consulting initiatives. Your expertise will be essential in managing vital stakeholder relationships, conducting technical due diligence, and evaluating business strategies to provide actionable recommendations for research and development, intellectual property, compliance, and communication strategies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Engage with subject matter experts and technical teams to gain a comprehensive understanding of early-stage companies, their core technologies, and their unique value propositions.
  • Effectively communicate intricate technical and scientific concepts using refined business communication skills.
  • Establish and nurture strong relationships with industry experts, entrepreneurs, and key stakeholders, including technical, financial, and legal advisors.
  • Collaborate with partner organizations to gather expert insights and analyze competition, creating a holistic view of the company’s technology and market potential.
  • Draft detailed technological and market assessments by synthesizing research findings and strategic recommendations.

Qualifications:

  • A bachelor’s degree in a STEM field is required; a master’s or PhD is preferred.
  • 3-5 years of professional experience in business advisory, consulting, or research environments.
  • 1-2 years of experience collaborating with US government agencies or major defense contractors is advantageous.
  • Familiarity with the non-dilutive funding landscape in the US, including SBIR/STTR grants.
  • Proven experience in managing stakeholder relationships and delivering client-facing outcomes.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the capability to lead discussions, compose technical reports, and refine proposals.
  • Meticulous attention to detail and a consistent history of meeting project deadlines.
  • Experience in researching government funding and contracting topics.
  • A collaborative spirit, with a strong desire to work within cross-functional teams.
  • A proactive approach to action, including writing, building, testing, measuring, and iterating.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while maintaining a strong focus on client and portfolio success.

Compensation and Benefits:

  • Competitive base salary range of $75K - $100K, commensurate with experience.

Travel Requirements:
