Key Responsibilities
- Lead the planning and implementation of technology solutions across the Information Technology Division.
- Develop a clear vision for IT infrastructure, policies, and services that align with the Department's mission.
- Act as a catalyst for change, promoting teamwork and innovation within the agency.
- Provide strategic oversight for the development of the DEA IT Technology Strategic Plan.
- Conduct strategic sourcing analysis to optimize technology products and services.
- Oversee the maintenance of the DEA enterprise architecture to support governance and decision-making processes.
- Guide cross-functional teams in addressing business and operational challenges.
- Evaluate and recommend technology platforms that support forensic services and operational needs.
- Participate in governance and capital planning to ensure effective technology investment strategies.
- Lead efforts in business process reengineering enabled by technology.
Qualifications
Applicants must possess a combination of general management skills and specialized technical expertise. Experience in organizational management and administration is essential, along with a strong background in technology-related functions.
Mandatory Technical Qualifications
- Expertise in advanced Information Technology principles to optimize networks and cloud environments.
- Experience advising senior management on IT matters and aligning projects with mission objectives.
- Strong oral communication skills for effective presentations and stakeholder engagement.
- Proven problem-solving abilities to identify issues and recommend solutions.
Education
All degrees and coursework must be from accredited institutions. A combination of undergraduate or graduate education and relevant experience is desired.
