About the Role

The Tulsa Health Department is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Talent Acquisition Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our Human Resources department, you will be responsible for delivering all facets of recruiting success and other assigned duties to support the organization's goals and objectives.

Key Responsibilities
  • Recruitment and Staffing: Develop and implement effective recruitment strategies to attract top talent for all of THD's programs and operations.
  • Talent Management: Collaborate with managers to create job descriptions, develop interviewing plans, and evaluate job candidates.
  • Applicant Tracking and Management: Maintain accurate and up-to-date applicant tracking systems, including data entry and requisition creation.
  • HR Metrics and Reporting: Track and analyze HR recruiting metrics to inform business decisions and improve recruitment processes.
  • Special Projects: Assist with special projects as assigned by the Senior Director of HR, including those related to public health emergency operations.
Requirements
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in business, human resources, or a related field.
  • Experience: Two to four years of recruiting experience in a professional environment, with a strong background in talent acquisition and management.
  • Certifications: PHR or SHRM-CP certification is highly desirable.
  • Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team. Proficient in Microsoft Office and applicant tracking systems.
