Position Summary

The Talent Acquisition Sourcer plays a crucial role in identifying and engaging potential candidates to facilitate the recruitment process. This position is responsible for sourcing and screening candidates, building talent pipelines, and assisting in the evaluation of applicants.

Compensation & Benefits:

Estimated Starting Salary Range for Talent Acquisition Sourcer: $24-47 per hour

Compensation is commensurate with experience.

  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Fosters talent and develops resources essential for organizational success; provides guidance and training for recruiters regarding sourcing activities to ensure productivity and quality.
  • Creates, communicates, and manages a strategic plan for developing recruitment campaigns.
  • Designs and directs social media initiatives to enhance awareness of Cherokee Nation Businesses job opportunities; places and updates recruitment advertisements to optimize candidate engagement.
  • Engages with potential candidates through social media and professional networks.
  • Crafts and disseminates recruitment communications; promotes a consistent company brand to candidates and applicants.
  • Sources and refers both active and passive qualified candidates to recruiters for consideration.
  • Enhances job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities, reading professional literature, maintaining personal networks, and engaging in professional organizations.
  • Initiates and implements innovative resource strategies and employee resource groups aimed at promoting diverse candidate slates.
  • Utilizes hiring and sourcing metrics to continuously improve and make informed decisions.
  • Builds extensive pools of highly qualified, diverse candidates to meet current and future organizational needs.
  • Collaborates with hiring managers to ensure a clear understanding of job requirements and expectations.
  • Conducts research on talent markets to assess supply versus demand, competitor intelligence, and optimal talent sourcing locations.
  • Develops applicant sources and implements creative recruiting strategies to attract qualified professionals through research, outreach, and relationship building with agencies and recruiting sources.
  • Maintains professional relationships with college and community college placement offices to generate qualified applicants.
  • Schedules and participates in job fairs with appropriate staff to attract qualified candidates.
  • Utilizes technology to attract, identify, and communicate with potential candidates to foster interest in specific job postings.
  • Manages job board positions and candidate dispositions as necessary.
Performs other job-related duties as assigned.

Qualifications:
  • Six to eight years of recruiting experience across various levels, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Proficiency in creative sourcing methods, including Internet sourcing techniques, Boolean searches, referral management, and outreach to passive candidates.
  • Experience with high-volume and surge recruiting is essential.
  • Must meet pre-employment qualifications of Cherokee Nation Businesses.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Familiarity with electronic applicant tracking systems and online recruiting resources.
  • Understanding of human resources evaluation methods, policies, practices, and procedures, including EEO, ADA, and AAP/OFCCP compliance.
  • Advanced knowledge of all recruiting components with a proven track record in sourcing hard-to-find candidates.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities.
  • Ability to think creatively with technology to locate passive and qualified candidates.
  • Capability to achieve results both directly and indirectly.
  • Excellent organizational skills.
  • Ability to anticipate challenges and demonstrate strategic, proactive, and assertive thinking.
