POSITION SUMMARY
The ERP Business Analyst plays a critical role in providing analytical support and assistance with ERP systems to the EMCOR Construction Services (ECS) companies. The primary focus will be on Vista applications and other related business systems.
While the ECS headquarters is situated in McLean, Virginia, candidates from other locations are encouraged to apply, as remote work options are available. The role may require travel up to 40% by car or airplane.
COMPENSATION
Salary Range: $100,000 - $125,000
Additional Compensation: Eligible for an annual discretionary bonus in accordance with company policy.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
The following duties are essential to the role, though additional responsibilities may be assigned:
- Assist the ERP implementation team with a focus on operational applications and business processes.
- Address end-user inquiries; troubleshoot issues and collaborate with the Application Administrator through a ticketing system.
- Document and develop business, technical system, and application processes, functions, and procedures.
- Oversee other ERP and ECS initiatives and projects as needed, which may involve financial analysis, report preparation, training, and documentation.

- Familiarity with the construction phase of capital project life cycles (from concept to design, build, and maintenance).
- Understanding of project accounting processes and principles within a construction context.

- Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, with the capability to lead meetings professionally.
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to interpret diverse communication styles among team members from various disciplines.
- A proactive approach to change, with the ability to follow through on initiatives to completion.
QUALIFICATIONS
To be successful in this role, the individual must effectively perform each essential duty. The following qualifications are representative of the knowledge, skills, and abilities required:
PREFERRED EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
- 5 - 10 years of experience in an accounting department, preferably within mechanical or electrical construction or union contracting.
- Bachelor's Degree.
- Knowledge of the construction industry, operations management, and safety practices is advantageous.
- Familiarity with Vista Viewpoint software is preferred.

- Effective time management skills to meet frequent deadlines.

COMPUTER SKILLS
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Word, Excel) is required.
- Experience with Viewpoint Vista is essential.
