POSITION SUMMARY
The ERP Solutions Analyst is responsible for providing support and analytical expertise for ERP systems utilized by EMCOR Construction Services (ECS). The primary focus will be on Vista applications and other relevant business systems.
While the ECS headquarters is located in McLean, Virginia, remote work arrangements will be considered. The role may require travel up to 40% by car or airplane.
COMPENSATION
Salary Range: $100,000 - $125,000
Additional Compensation: Eligible for an annual discretionary bonus in line with company policy.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
The following duties are essential to the role. Additional responsibilities may be assigned as needed:
- Assist the ERP implementation team with a focus on operational applications and business workflows.
- Address end-user inquiries; troubleshoot issues and collaborate with the Application Administrator through a ticketing system.
- Document and develop business, technical system, and application processes, functions, and procedures.
- Oversee various ERP and ECS initiatives and projects as assigned, which may involve financial analysis, report preparation, training, and documentation.
CHARACTERISTICS AND SKILLS
This position requires a commitment to high service levels and execution. The following attributes are essential:
- Familiarity with the construction project lifecycle from concept through design, build, and maintenance.
- Understanding of project accounting principles within a construction context.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision, demonstrating initiative and prioritizing tasks effectively.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, capable of leading meetings professionally.
- Strong interpersonal abilities and the capacity to interpret diverse communication styles among team members from various disciplines.
- A proactive approach to change management, ensuring initiatives are followed through to completion.
QUALIFICATIONS
To succeed in this role, candidates must meet the following qualifications:
PREFERRED EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
- 5 - 10 years of experience in an accounting department, ideally within mechanical or electrical construction or union contracting.
- Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field.
- Knowledge of the construction industry, operations management, and safety practices is advantageous.
- Familiarity with Vista Viewpoint software is preferred.
PREFERRED SKILLS and ABILITIES
- Proficient in business writing and reporting.
- Excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Strong time management abilities to meet frequent deadlines.
- Strategic, analytical, and multitasking capabilities.
- Attention to detail is crucial.
COMPUTER SKILLS
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Word, Excel) is required.
- Experience with Viewpoint Vista is mandatory.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
The physical demands of this role are typical of an office environment. The employee will frequently communicate verbally and in writing, engage in meetings, and work at a computer for extended periods.
WORK ENVIRONMENT
This position is primarily office-based, with a typical noise level.
