The EGS headquarters team provides essential support functions including finance, human resources, legal, national purchasing, and IT.

POSITION SUMMARY

The ERP Business Analyst plays a crucial role in delivering ERP support and analytical services to EMCOR Government Services. The primary focus will be on Vista applications and associated business systems.

This position is primarily remote, with occasional travel required, up to 40%, by car or airplane.

COMPENSATION

Salary Range: $100,000 - $125,000

Additional Compensation: Eligible for an annual discretionary bonus based on company policy.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

The following duties are essential to the role. Additional responsibilities may be assigned as needed:

  • Assist the ERP implementation team with a focus on operational applications and business workflows.
  • Address end-user inquiries and troubleshoot reported issues, collaborating closely with the Application Administrator via a ticketing system.
  • Document and develop business processes, technical systems, and application functions.
  • Oversee various ERP and EGS initiatives and projects as assigned, which may involve financial analysis, report preparation, training, and documentation.

  • In-depth understanding of the construction project lifecycle from concept through design, build, and maintenance.
  • Familiarity with project accounting principles and processes within a construction context.
  • Exceptional organizational skills and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision, demonstrating initiative and effective prioritization.
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills, capable of leading professional meetings.
  • Strong interpersonal abilities and adeptness at interpreting diverse communication styles among team members.
  • Proactive in driving change and following through on initiatives to completion.

QUALIFICATIONS

To be successful in this role, candidates must meet the following qualifications:

PREFERRED EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

  • 5 - 10 years of experience in an accounting department, ideally within mechanical or electrical construction or union environments.
  • Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field.
  • Knowledge of the construction industry, operations management, and safety practices is advantageous.
  • Experience with Vista Viewpoint software is required.

PREFERRED SKILLS and ABILITIES

  • Strong business writing and reporting capabilities.
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Effective time management skills with the ability to meet tight deadlines.
  • Strategic thinking, analytical skills, and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Attention to detail is critical.

COMPUTER SKILLS

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Word, Excel) is essential.
  • Experience with Viewpoint Vista is mandatory.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

The physical demands of this position are typical of an office environment. Employees are required to communicate verbally and in writing, engage in meetings, and work at a computer for extended periods.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

This role is primarily office-based, with a typical office noise level.
