Electrical Project Management Role

The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in electrical construction along with proven experience as an Electrical Estimator.

This role demands exceptional computer proficiency and leadership capabilities. Strong organizational skills, coupled with effective written and verbal communication, are critical. The Senior Estimator is responsible for accurately calculating the costs, timelines, materials, labor, and equipment necessary for construction projects. Responsibilities include conducting cost analyses, determining project durations, sourcing vendors and subcontractors, and ensuring resource management and adherence to deadlines for electrical projects. Key Responsibilities of the Electrical Estimator:
  • Delegate tasks to the estimating team for each project
  • Assess the costs of electrical construction by reviewing and analyzing available documentation
  • Evaluate projects for value engineering opportunities while considering specific job conditions that may impact labor and material procurement
  • Examine project plans, specifications, bid documents, and other relevant materials to identify project requirements and formulate bid proposals
  • Identify inconsistencies, conflicts, and other issues within bid documents
  • Request information and pricing from subcontractors and suppliers
  • Prepare instructions for bidders, bid forms, and other necessary solicitation materials
Qualifications for the Electrical Estimator:
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in electrical estimating
  • Proficient in MS Office applications
  • Familiarity with industry-standard estimating software
  • Detail-oriented with a proactive approach to identifying potential issues
  • Strong communication skills (both verbal and written) and the ability to build relationships
  • Effective problem-solving and critical thinking abilities
  • Capability to prioritize tasks and manage time efficiently for oneself and others
  • Experience in leading and developing team members
