Position Summary:

Turner & Townsend is seeking a seasoned Senior MEP Estimator who will play a crucial role in achieving client objectives through effective cost management services.

The MEP Estimator will be responsible for delivering mechanical and/or electrical estimates and providing cost consulting for a diverse range of large-scale, complex construction programs across key sectors such as Real Estate, Data Centers, High-Tech & Manufacturing, Life Sciences, and Infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and present comprehensive cost plans.
  • Estimate costs at conceptual, programming, and detailed levels.
  • Assist in feasibility studies and prepare procurement reports.
  • Oversee all procurement aspects, including managing pre-qualification stages, creating bid lists, conducting bid analyses, and compiling contractual documents.
  • Engage in post-contract cost variance management and change control processes, escalating significant changes to management as necessary.
  • Conduct cost checks and valuations on larger projects, ensuring accuracy and timeliness in the cost checking and valuation processes.
  • Prepare monthly post-contract cost reports for client presentations.
  • Contribute to value engineering efforts and negotiate final accounts.
  • Maintain effective communication with clients and other consultants throughout all project stages.
  • Provide leadership to the cost management team as needed, ensuring accountability in all deliverables.
  • Identify opportunities for business development with existing clients and report these to the appropriate management level.
  • Propose enhancements to cost management procedures, templates, and products for consideration by management.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Quantity Surveying, or a related technical field.
  • Experience in construction, specifically with mechanical and/or electrical systems.
  • Strong technical knowledge in all areas of cost management, including pre-contract, post-contract, and final account processes.
  • Proven experience in managing and mentoring team members.
  • Excellent presentation, verbal, written, and communication skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, AutoCAD, Navisworks, and other relevant software.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and work collaboratively.
  • Comprehensive understanding of various construction procurement methods.
  • Experience advising clients on value management, value engineering, and life cycle costing.
  • Diverse industry experience is highly regarded.
Additional Information:

The salary range for this full-time position is $140K-$170K per year. This range reflects base salary only and is subject to adjustment based on the candidate's experience and qualifications.
