Job Summary

This is a remote position based from Chicago overseeing the Midwest Region. The Regional Sales Manager is responsible for overseeing the sale of products and representing the brand. This position will manage relationships with clients, serving as the key point of contact, from initial lead outreach to ensuring a client's needs and expectations are met.

Essential Job Functions
  • Acquires new clients by reaching out to potential leads through a variety of channels.
  • Researches and understands client needs, recommending relevant products.
  • Develops, presents, and implements client plans that meet sales volume goals and profitability levels by product category and by client.
  • Provides resale support to clients through advertising, promotion, and other trade spending activities while ensuring adherence to company policies and procedures.
  • Resolves client complaints and queries, ensuring ultimate satisfaction in service.
  • Submits client purchase orders to customer service, while monitoring inventory levels.
  • Maintains market area sales and receivables weekly and monthly to achieve target metrics.
  • Completes market research and monitors competitor activity.
  • Participates in company meetings with Sales Director and other Sales Managers.
  • Maintain safe and healthy work environment by following standards and procedures, complying with legal codes and regulations.
  • Report any animal welfare related issues to management immediately.
  • Report any potential Food Safety issues to management immediately.
  • Report any damages to company vehicles and equipment via maintenance work order software program.
  • Comply with all company policies and procedures.
Minimum Required Qualifications
  • BS/BA degree in related field or minimum 2 years of equivalent food processing sales experience required; protein preferred.
  • Knowledge of the Asian market (trends and demands), preferred.
  • Valid driver's license, required.
  • Ability to effectively manage a defined territory, plan a weekly schedule and organize multiple activities within a geographic area.
  • Ability to travel and cover a large geographical area, overnight travel is required.
  • Strong Food Service and Retail knowledge and experience.
  • Outstanding communication and negotiation skills.
  • Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to independently make decisions with minimum supervision.
  • Ability to multitask and effectively prioritize workload.
  • Advanced personal computer skills: Working knowledge of Excel and Outlook.
  • Strong teamwork skills with a willingness to assist others.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to comply with all company policies and procedures.
