Position Summary:
We are in search of a proficient 3D CAD Specialist to contribute to our energy storage product development initiatives. The ideal candidate will be instrumental in the design and engineering of advanced energy storage systems.

Key Responsibilities:
As a 3D CAD Specialist, your primary duties will include:

  • Creating and refining high-quality 3D models and engineering drawings for battery and grid structures, as well as electrical and thermal systems.
  • Collaborating with engineers and project managers to transform technical specifications and sketches into precise 3D models utilizing industry-standard CAD software (SolidWorks/NX).
  • Developing and maintaining engineering documentation, including assembly drawings, part drawings, BOMs, and 2D production drawings, while ensuring compliance with company standards.
  • Conducting design reviews to identify and resolve potential issues early in the process.
  • Maintaining a comprehensive revision history for all models and drawings.
  • Participating in prototyping and design validation efforts.
  • Staying informed about the latest advancements in CAD technologies relevant to the energy storage sector.
  • Ensuring effective communication with team members and stakeholders.
  • Managing time and workload efficiently to meet project deadlines.

Qualifications:
The successful candidate will possess:

  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in electrical design, focusing on single line diagrams, wiring diagrams, and related electrical documentation.
  • Proficiency in SolidWorks, NX, and Teamcenter; familiarity with electrical design software such as AutoCAD Electrical or EPLAN is advantageous.
  • A solid understanding of engineering principles and design for manufacturability (DFM).
  • Strong skills in 2D and 3D sketching and drafting.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
  • The capability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team.
  • A detail-oriented mindset with a focus on quality.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Knowledge of electrical codes and standards, with an understanding of cable and conduit sizing according to NEC being a plus.

Education:
An Associate's Degree is required, with a Bachelor's Degree preferred.

Technical Skills:
Advanced proficiency in NX, SolidWorks, and Microsoft Office is essential.

Industry Knowledge:
Familiarity with automotive batteries and energy storage systems is beneficial.

Soft Skills:
The ideal candidate will be proactive, adaptable to change, possess excellent time management skills, and demonstrate a strong commitment to teamwork.
