Key Responsibilities:
- Utilize digital measurement tools to assess custom aircraft interior specifications and ensure alignment with 3D (Catia v5) engineering models for compliance with fit and tolerance.
- Incorporate measurement outcomes into Statistical Process Control (SPC) tools and generate corresponding control charts.
- Develop reports and technical documentation based on SPC analyses to assist engineering and production teams in enhancing quality, production efficiency, and cycle times.
- Lead troubleshooting and resolution initiatives during active aircraft assembly.
- Serve as a communication bridge between engineering and production to share insights and integrate best practices into new or updated product designs.
- Draft tooling specifications as necessary.
- Adhere to all safety protocols while conducting measurements and creating tooling to ensure the safety of personnel, environment, and materials.
Qualifications:
- B.S. Degree in Manufacturing or Industrial Engineering.
- At least 2 years of experience in industrial methods or related fields.
- A minimum of 500 hours of experience with VPM, CATIA V5, or similar software.
- Proficient in using digital measurement equipment that integrates with 3D CAD software for SPC applications.
- Experience in problem-solving through scientific methods and root cause analysis.
- Familiarity with GD&T practices in Product Lifecycle Management.
- Strong mathematical and geometric skills in both metric and imperial units.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Project, Word).
- Effective communication skills across various aerospace disciplines.
- Ability to write and maintain technical specifications and documentation.
