Responsibilities

: Ability to use digital measuring devices to measure custom aircraft interior features and align/compare to 3D (Catia v5) engineering models for fit and tolerance compliance. Capabilities to incorporated measurement results into SPC tools and generate resulting control charts. Create reports and/or technical documentation based on SPC studies that can be used by engineering or production to achieve improved quality, production flow, cycle time. Leads troubleshooting and problem-solving efforts on active aircraft build up. Act as a liaison between engineering and production to ensure lessons learned are shared and resulting best practices are incorporated into new or revised product designs. Create tooling specifications when required. Observes all safety procedures when performing measures and creating tooling to ensure safe operation of the people, environment, and material.

Qualifications:

. Degree in Manufacturing or Industrial Engineering. Minimum 2 years of industrial methods activities or related experience. Minimum 500 hours using VPM, CATIA V5 or equivalent software. Experience using digital measurement equipment that interfaces with 3D CAD software for Statistical Process Control (SPC) purposes. Experience with problem solving utilizing scientific methods and root cause analysis. Knowledge and application of GD&T practices for use in Product Lifecycle Management. Strong math and geometry skills using both metric and English units of measure. Working knowledge and use of Microsoft Office Tools Suite. (Excel, Power Point, Project, Word). Good understanding and communication skills across multiple aerospace disciplines. Write and maintain technical specifications and documentation.
