Position Purpose:

The Senior Vice President of Regulatory Compliance must embody, practice, and promote all values established by Green Brick Partners, encapsulated in the acronym HOME.

They must be Honest, Objective, Mature, and Efficient in their approach to their responsibilities at Green Brick Partners.


We are in search of a highly skilled and committed Senior Vice President (SVP) of Regulatory Compliance to spearhead our compliance initiatives and ensure our operations align with regulatory standards.

The ideal candidate will possess a profound understanding of the mortgage sector, extensive knowledge of federal and state regulations, and a demonstrated history of developing and executing effective compliance programs.


Responsibilities:
1. Develop, implement, and sustain comprehensive compliance programs to ensure adherence to federal and state regulations.

2. Monitor and evaluate the company's compliance with all relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards.

3. Lead and manage the compliance team, offering guidance, training, and support to ensure high performance and professional development.

4. Conduct regular risk assessments and audits to identify and mitigate potential compliance challenges.

5. Collaborate with senior management to cultivate and maintain a culture of compliance throughout the organization.

6. Stay informed about changes in laws, regulations, and industry trends, and update company policies and procedures accordingly.

7. Communicate effectively with regulatory agencies, internal stakeholders, and external partners regarding compliance matters.

8. Provide regular updates to the executive team and board of directors on the status of the company's compliance program.

Authority/Budget/Decision Making/Discretion and

Independent Judgment Ability:
Utilizes discretion, judgment, and high-level analytical skills to interpret complex situations.

Qualifications:

Education:
Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Law, or a related field; advanced degree preferred.

Competencies:
In-depth knowledge of federal and state mortgage regulations, including RESPA, TILA, ECOA, HMDA, and CFPB guidelines.

Proven ability to develop and implement effective compliance programs and policies.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail and accuracy.

Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to influence and build consensus at all levels of the organization.

Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities effectively.

Professional certifications such as CRCM, CCEP, or similar are highly desirable.

Experience:


Minimum of 10 years of experience in compliance within the mortgage industry, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role.
