Position Overview:
The Area Operations Manager will oversee the management and functionality of multiple properties within the designated region. This role is crucial in ensuring that each community operates efficiently and meets the expectations set by both the company and property owners.

Key Responsibilities:
1. **Operational Oversight:**
- Monitor and enhance the performance of all properties to achieve financial and operational goals.
- Conduct regular inspections and evaluations of community operations.

2. **Team Leadership:**
- Recruit, train, and mentor community managers and staff.
- Provide guidance and support to ensure high levels of employee performance and satisfaction.

3. **Financial Management:**
- Collaborate with community managers to develop and manage annual budgets.
- Review financial reports and variances to ensure compliance with budgetary expectations.

4. **Compliance and Standards:**
- Ensure adherence to all company policies, local regulations, and fair housing laws.
- Coordinate audits and inspections by relevant authorities.

Qualifications:
- A minimum of a high school diploma; a bachelor’s degree is preferred.
- At least 5 years of experience in property management, with a focus on affordable housing.
- Proven ability to manage multiple properties effectively and efficiently.

Skills and Competencies:
- Strong financial acumen and understanding of property management metrics.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to lead and motivate a diverse team.

Work Environment:
