Our Opportunity

The Facilities Operations Manager plays a pivotal role in overseeing the continuous development and management of the college's facilities operations, maintenance, and strategic planning. This position is responsible for coordinating and directing all aspects of facilities management, including the thorough inspection of college properties, equipment, and buildings to ensure safety, operational sustainability, and compliance with various codes and regulations, including ADA and safety standards.

The Manager ensures that all areas of responsibility function effectively within the policies and procedures of the College and relevant governing bodies, interpreting federal and state regulations as necessary.

This is a professional, exempt position where many tasks are carried out independently with minimal supervision.

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee and manage efficient facilities operations, including maintenance and repair services.
  • Conduct inspections of college facilities to ensure compliance with safety and operational standards.
  • Manage inventory of tools and supplies necessary for facility maintenance.
  • Prepare specifications for maintenance projects and oversee their execution.
  • Assist in budget preparation and management for facilities operations.
  • Recruit, train, and supervise staff, ensuring compliance with college policies.
  • Interpret and enforce applicable codes and regulations.
  • Support the Director of Facilities in developing and implementing strategic goals.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by the Director of Facilities.
Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in business or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • Five or more years of experience in facility operations, maintenance, and project management.
  • Proficient in computer applications, including Word and Excel.
  • Ability to lift up to 30 lbs.
  • Willingness to travel between campuses as required.
