About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Operations Manager to lead our team in the South Puget Sound area. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for driving business growth, improving operational efficiency, and ensuring the delivery of high-quality results.

Key Responsibilities
  • Strategic Planning: Assist in the preparation and implementation of strategic plans for the area and business unit, aligning with the company's overall goals and objectives.
  • Financial Management: Prepare and communicate accurate and timely financial forecasts, budgets, and projections to ensure the company's financial stability and growth.
  • Leadership and Development: Foster a culture of excellence, promoting employee development, and providing opportunities for growth and advancement.
  • Operational Excellence: Ensure the effective implementation of safety programs, policies, and procedures, maintaining a zero-tolerance approach to non-compliance.
  • Collaboration and Communication: Work closely with functional leadership to develop best practices, share knowledge, and drive business results.
  • Business Development: Identify and pursue growth opportunities, including pro-forma and market analysis for acquisitions, ensuring alignment with the company's strategic plan.
  • Relationship Building: Develop strategic relationships with politicians, customers, vendors, and subcontractors to establish Granite as a respected leader in the local community.
Requirements
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Business Administration, or a related field, or equivalent work experience in heavy civil, highway, or construction management.
  • Experience: Minimum of eight years of experience, with five years in a leadership role, preferably in the construction industry.
  • Skills: Excellent communication, organizational, supervisory, and planning skills, with proficiency in MS Office products and a strong understanding of Granite's policies and business procedures.

Compensation

The base salary range for this role is $131,197.876.00, with pay varying based on relevant experience, skills, location, and education.
