General Overview

The Facility Operations Supervisor plays a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of the Parks, Recreation & Waterfront Department's facilities, including the Miller Center, Old North End (ONE) Center, and Red Stone Cottage. This position is vital for maintaining daily programmatic and operational functions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage the opening and closing procedures for the facility and its individual spaces.
  • Welcome visitors and program participants with a friendly demeanor.
  • Provide comprehensive information regarding facility services.
  • Handle payment collection and participation documentation.
  • Prepare and dismantle rooms for various events, programs, and meetings.
  • Serve as a liaison between staff and visitors to facilitate communication.
  • Perform light custodial tasks as necessary, including restroom maintenance, waste disposal, kitchen organization, and floor cleaning.
  • Act as the primary contact for facility users, coordinating their needs with staff and management.
