Job Title: Dialysis Nurse/Unit Supervisor

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Renal Nurse Supervisor to support the Nurse Manager in leading our nursing team and ensuring the highest standards of care for our patients with renal conditions.

Job Summary:

The Renal Nurse Supervisor will oversee the daily operations of the renal department, manage nursing staff, and ensure the delivery of high-quality patient care.

Responsibilities:
  • Supervise and support nursing staff, including hiring, training, and performance evaluations.
  • Ensure compliance with clinical standards, protocols, and regulatory requirements.
  • Coordinate patient care plans and collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to optimize patient outcomes.
  • Monitor patient progress, assess treatment efficacy, and make necessary adjustments to care plans.
  • Provide direct patient care as needed, including administering medications, performing dialysis procedures, and managing complications.
  • Develop and implement policies and procedures to enhance departmental efficiency and patient safety.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records and documentation.
  • Facilitate ongoing education and professional development for nursing staff.
  • Address patient and family concerns, providing education and support regarding renal health and treatment options.
Requirements:
  • Active Registered Nurse (RN) license within State of practice.
  • Bachelor's degree in Nursing (BSN) required.
  • Minimum of two (2) plus years of recent experience as a Dialysis RN.
  • Leadership experience as a Facility Administrator, Nurse Manager or Clinical Manager required.
  • Experience with Dialysis Unit Surveys a plus.
  • Experience with Quality Improvement Initiatives preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of renal diseases, dialysis procedures, and related medical treatments.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Management experience in recruiting, hiring, training, team building, etc.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with a diverse team and manage multiple priorities.
