Job Overview

Position Summary: The Branch Operations Leader will be tasked with managing the daily functions and ensuring the operational efficiency of the branch. This position demands an experienced individual with a minimum of 8 years in the banking sector, possessing a comprehensive knowledge of deposit and loan marketing techniques. The Branch Operations Leader will be crucial in overseeing branch personnel, mitigating risks, and upholding exceptional customer service standards.

Core Responsibilities:

  1. Client Acquisition and Marketing:
    Drive initiatives to attract new clients for both deposit and loan products. Formulate and execute marketing plans that align with the institution's objectives, ensuring consistent growth in the client portfolio.
  2. Staff Management and Assessment:
    Supervise the performance of operational staff, including tellers and support personnel. Conduct regular performance reviews, provide constructive feedback, and ensure all team members meet their performance benchmarks. Take charge of onboarding new hires, ensuring they are adequately prepared for their roles.
  3. Risk Management and Compliance:
    Examine and interpret various reports to ensure adherence to risk management standards. This includes monitoring reports related to Non-Sufficient Funds (NSF), overdrafts, and potential fraud, as well as managing general ledger and balance fluctuation documentation. Ensure all risk-related operations comply with institutional policies.
  4. Oversight of Teller Operations:
    Manage the daily transactions performed by teller staff, ensuring precision, compliance, and superior customer service. Verify the accuracy and completeness of all financial transactions, including account openings, currency exchanges, wire transfers, and money order sales, particularly those involving non-account holders.
  5. Branch Operations and Customer Engagement:
    Ensure the branch operates efficiently and is well-maintained on a daily basis. Address customer complaints and inquiries swiftly and effectively, ensuring all matters are resolved to the customer's satisfaction and in accordance with institutional policies.
  6. Branch Reporting and Certification:
    Compile and submit the monthly branch certification, ensuring all operational and financial activities are accurately documented and comply with regulatory standards. Maintain thorough and precise records of all branch operations.

Required Qualifications:

  • At least 8 years of experience in banking, with a focus on branch leadership.
  • Strong leadership and team management capabilities.
  • Demonstrated experience in risk management and compliance within a banking context.
  • Exceptional customer service skills with the ability to resolve issues effectively.
  • Ability to work autonomously and collaboratively, with excellent communication and organizational skills.
