Overview
At Piedmont Airlines, we are dedicated to providing exceptional service in the aviation industry. We are currently seeking a dependable and enthusiastic individual to fill the role of a Customer Service Gate Agent within our Ground Handling Department.

Key Responsibilities
The primary focus of this position is to assist passengers during the boarding process. This includes:

  • Facilitating the boarding and disembarking of passengers.
  • Monitoring the computerized passenger boarding system.
  • Providing assistance to customers with special requirements, such as arranging for wheelchairs and supporting unaccompanied minors.
  • Modifying customer flight itineraries and seat assignments as necessary.
  • Operating the Jetway to ensure smooth transitions.
  • Collaborating with team members to deliver outstanding customer service and achieve corporate goals.

Qualifications and Skills
To be successful in this role, candidates must:

  • Complete the required training program.
  • Demonstrate the ability to meet organizational objectives and customer satisfaction in a dynamic environment.
  • Exhibit strong communication skills.
  • Possess excellent organizational, prioritization, and multitasking abilities.

Preferred Experience
While not mandatory, the following qualifications are advantageous:

  • Prior experience in the airline industry.
  • Background in front-line customer service roles.
  • Basic familiarity with computer applications and software.

Work Environment
This position involves:

  • Utilizing telephones, computers, and various office equipment.
  • Working in an airport ramp setting, which may include exposure to varying weather conditions and elevated noise levels.
  • Availability for all shifts, including weekends, nights, and holidays.

Physical Requirements
Candidates must be able to:

  • Engage in frequent physical activities such as stooping, bending, kneeling, walking, standing, reaching, lifting, and climbing stairs.
  • Handle objects weighing up to 70 pounds.
  • Assist passengers with disabilities, including but not limited to, pushing wheelchairs.

Additional Information
Employment is contingent upon a valid driver's license, a clear driving record, a comprehensive criminal history check, and a drug screening as required. Proof of high school diploma or GED completion is also necessary. Candidates must be at least 18 years of age.

Compensation
