About the Role:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Internal Wholesaler to join our team at New York Life Insurance Co. As an Internal Wholesaler, you will play a critical role in developing and maintaining relationships with agents and field managers within your territory.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute a business plan to maximize territorial sales in partnership with External Consultants.
- Make proactive sales calls to existing representatives to strengthen relationships and identify selling opportunities.
- Field inbound calls from agents regarding New York Life solutions and identify selling opportunities.
- Work closely with External Consultants to develop and execute a business plan to maximize territorial sales.
- Specialize in one of the New York Life Solution areas, including Life Insurance, Annuities & Investments, Long Term Care & Individual Disability Income, or Business Solutions.
- Identify and convert dormant agents into producing representatives.
- Assist in training new associates.
- Perform other duties as required by management.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree preferred or equivalent work experience.
- At least two Executive Councils achieved (New York Life Agents only).
- Prior insurance industry sales experience a plus.
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills, interpersonal, and customer service skills.
- Strong relationship building skills and sense of time management.
- Detail-oriented and well-organized self-starter with high energy and creativity.
- Ability to obtain licenses (6 & 63) within 60 days (Series 7 a plus but not required).
- Proficient with Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, as well as various internet search techniques.
- Proven ability to pay attention to detail and multitask.

Pay and Benefits:
Salary Range: $65,000 - $70,000 (Plus target sales incentive $35,000+). Overtime eligible: Exempt. Discretionary bonus eligible: No. Sales bonus eligible: Yes. Actual base salary will be determined based on several factors, including individual's experience, skills, qualifications, and job location.
