About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Business Manager to support the growth of our US Equities business. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for driving business planning and strategy, partnering with Business Heads to implement strategic initiatives, and optimizing business operations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Business Planning and Strategy: Collaborate with Equities management and global COO team to develop and implement business plans and strategies.
  • Strategic Initiatives: Partner with Business Heads to drive and implement initiatives focused on revenue growth, client strategy, and business optimization.
  • Operational Excellence: Take ownership of reviewing and improving front-to-back trading workflows and systems to optimize business operations.
  • Stakeholder Management: Represent the business with support functions, including operations, technology, finance, risk, and legal/compliance, to ensure effective operations.
  • Analysis and Insights: Create meaningful analysis to aid management in making strategic decisions.
Qualifications
  • Experience: 10+ years of experience in Equities sales/trading or strategy/business management role at a leading investment bank.
  • Product Knowledge: Deep knowledge of equities and derivatives products, trading, and business workflows, with a preference for Equity derivatives, convertibles, and swaps.
  • Project Management: Ability to structure and manage complex cross-divisional projects and processes with multiple stakeholders.
  • Organizational Skills: Well-organized, detail-oriented, and analytical individual with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Communication Skills: Strong communication skills, with the ability to summarize complex business problems and detailed analysis with clarity and brevity in written and oral form.
  • Analytical Skills: Strong analytical skills, with the ability to think creatively and strategically and thrive in a dynamic work environment.
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in STEM, finance, business, or related fields, with an MBA, CFA, or Series 7/57/4 desirable.

Jefferies offers a competitive salary range of $200,000 to $250,000, as well as an annual discretionary incentive and retention bonus, competitive employee benefits, including medical, dental, and vision coverage, 401(k), life, accident, and disability insurance, and wellness programs. We also offer paid time off packages, including planned time off (vacation), unplanned time off (sick leave), and paid holidays and paid parental leave.
