Job Summary

Creighton University is seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Administrative Assistant to provide day-to-day administrative and clerical support to the Department of Internal Medicine and its Chair. This is a full-time, on-site, hourly position located at the university's campus.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform complex, advanced, diversified, and confidential administrative duties at the highest function level.
  • Routine clerical and administrative functions such as coordinating and supporting departmental meetings, managing information on various web-based platforms, organizing and maintaining paper and electronic files, and providing strong customer service.
  • Support the department's mission by effectively interacting with a diverse population of internal and external partners at a high level of integrity.
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent required. Associate's degree preferred.
  • 6 years' administrative and/or office management experience.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite to include (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook), Google and Adobe.
  • Experience working in higher education or hospital/medical office environment a plus.
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities
  • Superior knowledge of administrative and clerical duties including customer service, accuracy and attention to detail, phone and email etiquette.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and coordinate and prioritize work with multiple and conflicting demands in a deadline-oriented environment.
  • Customer service focus including the ability to assess inquiries and provide appropriate information or resolution using judgment and available resources.
  • Demonstrate professionalism, dependability, and accountability.
