Job Title: Coordinator of Human Resources (Recruiting and Onboarding)

Omaha's Henry Doorly Zoo & Aquarium is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Coordinator of Human Resources to support our recruiting and onboarding efforts. This pivotal role will assist in managing the candidate and employee experience, ensuring a seamless transition for new team members.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Recruitment: Support the Supervisor of Recruitment and Onboarding in posting jobs, communicating with applicants, and representing the zoo at recruiting events.
  • Onboarding: Coordinate background checks, initiate the onboarding process, and ensure candidate tasks are completed in a timely manner.
  • HRIS Facilitation: Maintain the accuracy of the HRIS system, ensuring precise employee records.
  • Employee Training: Aid in maintaining the online Learning Management System and ensuring employees receive prompt access to training information.
  • Administrative Assistance: Support the Human Resources team with office and administrative tasks.
Requirements:
  • Previous experience in administration, human resources, recruiting, or onboarding preferred.
  • Experience with database programs or HRIS systems preferred.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and SharePoint.
  • Basic knowledge of employment laws and regulations, including I-9 and E-Verify processes.
Work Environment:

This role primarily involves working in an office environment, but may occasionally require walking outdoors across the zoo or light lifting. Occasional travel to the Lee G. Simmons Wildlife Safari Park may be required.

Education and Experience:

A High School Diploma or GED Equivalent is required.
